Summary

He lived up to his reputation as an outstanding athlete with a strong track background by having a great Indy combine and posting tremendous numbers for a DS. At this stage of his career he is probably a better run defender than cover guy. He has not played a lot of m/m coverage, but shows good skills and range in zone, covers a lot of ground, and appears to have good ball skills. He plays with good toughness and is willing to come up and hit vs. the run and is a solid tackler. He will intimidate WRs coming over the middle, and he can make some big plays in the run game. He may be a little bit of a straightline player and he will need work in m/m cover skills and techniques, and he may never look overly natural in turns and hips. He must improve in that area, or he will be a liability in pass defense and opposing teams will find him. One-dimensional run support DSs are a dying breed, but Brown has too much talent to get stuck with that tag.
