Summary Somewhat of an underrated player that has made a subtle move up the draft charts.....really came into his own as a senior and put together a solid year. He is not paricularly outstanding in any area, but he has enough size and AA to be around the ball and make a lot of plays. He runs fairly well for a DS, although he is not a guy that has m/m cover speed. He comes up hard vs. the run and will have some good hits and collisions, although he doesn't always breakdown well in the openfield, and is not quite the sure tackler that you would like. He is an adequate, but not great athlete, but he gets the most out of his ability. He plays with excellent toughness and aggressiveness and can certainly get by in zone schemes and shows enough range to be productive. His real forte may be in special teams, where he is absolutely a warrior and makes a ton of plays. That may be his ticket to an NFL team, where he can fill the dual role of special teams standout and back-up DS. If he plays for a team that has a lot of zone schemes and doesn't ask him to lock on m/m with quality WRs, he could be a fairly effective player.
