| Summary
This is a player without a lot of fanfare going into the offseason, but he really grabbed NFL scouts and coaches attention with an outstanding Indy workout where he ran in the 4.40 range, and had outstanding jumps and an excellent SS of 3.82. This is obviously a good athlete with a huge upside. He has good cover skills and smooth hips, and is very natural in his transition. He has the ability to cover a lot of ground and shows excellent range, and can also break on the ball with excellent quickness and footwork. However, he tends to be a guy that plays a little tentative, and for all of the speed and AA, he does not always look like a natural ball hawk. At times it will look as if he struggles to find the ball and make the play although he is always in the neighborhood. These may be correctable flaws as he certainly has the ability to run and cover top WRs. He just needs to play with a little more cockiness and reckless abandon. He is adequate vs. the run, and is a drag down type tackler that is not going to overwhelm anybody with his toughness. He is another sleeper type DC that may emerge on draft day as a much higher pick than most people anticipate.
