INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Rookie running back Kevin Faulk of New England broke an ankle when he was injured in the first quarter of Sunday's game with Indianapolis.

Faulk was injured after gaining one yard on a second-and-10 play at the Colts' 11-yard line. It was the second carry of the game for Faulk. He had returned two kickoffs for 48 yards before the injury.

Faulk was tackled by Ellis Johnson and Mike Peterson on the play.
