Olson pleads guilty to lesser charge Posted: Thursday April 06, 2000 10:30 AM
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Benji Olson, charged in Kentucky with drunken driving, has pleaded guilty to an amended charge of failure to drive carefully. He was fined $100 and court costs Wednesday in Hopkinsville, Ky., said his lawyer Ben Fletcher. Olson was arrested Feb. 19 after a Hopkinsville convenience store clerk reported him to police after he pulled out of the store's parking lot. His blood alcohol level measured 0.09; Kentucky's legal limit is .10. Police at the time said he was charged with drunken driving despite the reading. "The violation that he pleaded to speaks for itself," Fletcher said.
