PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The Eagles have recommitted to backup quarterback Koy Detmer, re-signing him Friday to a one-year contract.

Detmer, 26, played only one game last season, throwing three touchdown passes on 10-for-29 passing to and leading the Eagles to a 24-9 victory over the New England Patriots. He was third-string QB for most of the season, then served as starter Donovan McNabb's backup in the season finale.

Philadelphia also re-signed offensive lineman Lonnie Palelei to a two-year deal. Palelei started 12 games last season for the Eagles, 11 at right tackle and one at left tackle, and participating in all 16 games. A seven-year NFL veteran, Palelei also has played for the Steelers, Browns, Jets and Giants.

The signing of Detmer concludes the list of restricted and exclusive rights free agents re-signed by the Eagles.
