Week #17: Play of The Week
For some the final week of the season brings Christmas cheer - and a spot in the playoffs. For others, the consolation is celebrating New Year's at home. A win by Indianapolis earned the Colts a playoff berth, and the Giants clinched home field advantage. For the Lions, a loss sends them home for Christmas, and gets the defending Super Bowl Champion Rams in.

Many of the big boys could not finish the deal in Week 16. Oakland shot themselves in the foot at Seattle; but Denver returned the favor by losing at Kansas City. The Jets crippled their playoff chances, while the Lions helped theirs, in a 10-7 Detroit win at New York. And the NFC picture may have taken a dramatic turn as Green Bay won at Minnesota. The Vikes lost for the first time all season at home and must clinch the division and home field advantage next week at Indy.

Week #15: Play of The Week
With two weeks to go, the NFL playoff picture is starting to take shape. The Eagles, Titans, and Ravens join the Vikings in the Super Bowl tournament. Meanwhile, the Jets, Raiders, Broncos and Giants aren't far behind. The last four spots are up for grabs. St. Louis made a strong case for themselves today, whipping the Vikes. Tampa did as well, winning a defensive war with Miami. New Orleans kept pace with a comeback win at San Francisco.

Week #14: Play of The Week
There were some mighty big games in Week 14 around the NFL. Al Del Greco, the goat of a couple Titan losses, carried them with five field goals to a win at Philly. Denver rode the 251-yard, four TD performance of Mike Anderson to a win at New Orleans. Pittsburgh delayed Oakland's coronation in the AFC, Miami froze Buffalo's playoff hopes, and the Panthers ruined Kurt Warner's return.

Week #13: Play of The Week
What a fun day in the NFL! New Orleans played a great game in St. Louis and came out with a win, renewing cries of 'Who Dat' in the Big Easy. Denver won another entertaining shootout, proving they can run the ball with just about anyone lining up in the backfield. Jacksonville broke its hex against Tennessee, while the Eagles took the pole in the NFC East. And no, there will be no 0-16 team this year.

Week #12: Play of The Week
It's week 12, and that means every game counts. That was definitely true today. The Bucs and Chiefs hurt their playoff chances with losses. The Broncos and Bills helped their chances with big wins. San Diego remains winless, and the Bears have won two straight at Soldier Field.

Week #11: Play of The Week
Several divisional races tightened up considerably in Week 12. The Titans suffered defeat for the first time at Adlephia Coliseum to AFC Central foe Baltimore. Philadelphia won the Keystone state title over Pittsburgh and edged closer to the Giants in the NFC East. Out West, New Orleans won again to stay within a game of the Rams, but lost star RB Ricky Williams to a broken ankle. They face St. Louis twice down the stretch.

Week #10: Play of The Week
The Titans did it again - they won for the eighth straight time. Steve Christie did it again - he hit a last minute, game-winning field goal for the fourth and fifth time (in regulation and OT) this season. And the Bears almost blew it again - they barely held on to a 27-0 lead against the Colts.

Week #9: Play of The Week
All these games were ugly. The Vikings got drilled in their first loss of the season - because Keyshawn finally showed up. The Steelers managed the only TD of the game, notching their 5th straight win. For Jacksonville, the ugliness has ended. After a 5-game losing streak, the Jags finally pulled one out.

Week #8: Play of The Week
The Missouri Boys put up 54 points on another bedazzled foe and walked away with an easy win. But it wasn't the Rams; it was their cross-state foes in Kansas City, who hung a 54-34 drubbing on them. Two NFL records fell hard this week as well. Bengals RB Corey Dillon broke the single-game rushing mark with 278 yards against Denver. Minnesota K Gary Anderson broke the all-time scoring record with 2,004 points with a 21 yard field goal late in their 31-27 win against Buffalo.

Week #7: Play of The Week
The NFL's elite stepped up in a big way this weekend. Oakland took firm control of the AFC West with a win at hated Kansas City. The (lack of a) Ravens offense finally spelled defeat for Baltimore as preseason favorite Washington won their fourth in a row. Indy and the Jets both won in the AFC East to inch closer to idle Miami, while the Rams continue to score as if they're afraid their offense will be illegal in 2001.
