DENVER (Ticker) -- The
Carolina Panthers
already have a victory at one daunting AFC West venue.
On Sunday, the Panthers again face a critical game when they meet the
Denver Broncos
at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
After a season-opening home loss to Green Bay, the Panthers went on the road the next week to post an impressive 28-17 victory over the
Kansas City Chiefs
at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Panthers endured a 27-10 loss at home last week against Atlanta, putting them in another huge spot here. They also have road games against Philadelphia and Seattle in the next three weeks.
Carolina again could be without
Stephen Davis
, who has missed the last two games after undergoing knee surgery.
Against the Falcons,
DeShaun Foster
rushed for just 51 yards and a touchdown.
Jake Delhomme
threw for 308 yards, but was intercepted twice
Thanks to a defense that has allowed just 14.3 points per game, the Broncos have won three of their first four contests. They rank second in total defense, giving up just 244.3 yards per game.
Jake Plummer
threw a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end

kicked three field goals, lifting the Broncos to a 16-13 victory at Tampa Bay last week.
