ORCHARD PARK, New York (Ticker) -- Mike Mularkey and Dennis Green are having different kinds of seasons with their new teams.

On Sunday, Mularkey and the Buffalo Bills face Green and the Arizona Cardinals at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

A former offensive coordinator who was brought to Buffalo to pump life into a stagnant offense, Mularkey has watched the Bills struggle on that side of the ball.

Buffalo ranks 31st in the NFL in scoring offense, averaging just 12.8 points per game. It has been another struggle for Drew Bledsoe , who has been sacked 24 times in six games.

Trying to turn around one of the NFL's worst franchises, Green's Cardinals have been competitive in all six of their games. Green is one win shy of 100 in the regular season in his career.

The Cardinals also have been improving offensively. After scoring just 25 points in its first three games, Arizona has amassed 87 points in its last three.

Emmitt Smith again ran his way into the NFL record book last week, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' 25-17 victory over Seattle. It was the 78th career 100-yard game for Smith, who had been tied with Walter Payton.

The NFL's all-time leading rusher has two 100-yard games this season. He has rushed for 459 yards, 203 more than he had all of last season.

Bledsoe threw four interceptions and was sacked four times in last week's 20-6 loss at Baltimore.

Matchup to watch: Cardinals left tackle Leonard Davis against right end Aaron Schobel , who has 4 1/2 sacks the last two games.

Series: Buffalo leads, 4-3. This is the first meeting between the teams in Buffalo since 1990.

Next week: Arizona visits Miami on November 7 Buffalo hosts the NY Jets on November 7
