Green Bay (3-4) at Washington (2-4) Sunday, 1:00 pm EST
Packers
Redskins

LANDOVER, Maryland (Ticker) -- Lynn Dickey was the Green Bay Packers ' starting quarterback the last time they visited the Washington Redskins .

Heading into Sunday's game, Brett Favre will make his 197th straight start at quarterback when the Packers play in Washington for the first time since 1979.

Favre has made two of those starts against the Redskins in 2001 and 2002 and led the Packers to a pair of lopsided wins. Green Bay has won the last two meetings by a combined 67-9.

After a disappointing start, the Packers appear to be finding their stride. They have scored 79 points and racked up 914 total yards.

Ahman Green rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns and Favre threw for two scores in last week's 41-20 rout of Dallas.

Coming off their bye, the Redskins also faced an NFC North Division opponent in their last game, a 13-10 victory over the Chicago Bears two week ago.

Joe Gibbs finally saw his famous power running game produce as Clinton Portis carried 36 times for 171 yards against the Bears.

Gibbs will be looking for more from veteran quarterback Mark Brunell , who has failed to throw for 100 yards in his last two games. Brunell played in Green Bay from 1993-94 before being traded to Jacksonville.

While the offense has been inconsistent, the Redskins' defense has been outstanding. They rank first in total defense, allowing 234.2 yards per game and fifth in scoring defense (15.8 ppg).

Matchup to watch: Packers wide receiver Javon Walker , who had eight catches for 129 yards and a touchdown last week, against left cornerback Shawn Springs .

Series: Green Bay leads, 16-13-1

Next week: Green Bay has its bye week Washington visits Detroit on November 7
