SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- The
San Diego Chargers
are on their way to putting last season behind them. For the
Oakland Raiders
, it is starting to look like last season all over again.
The Chargers seek their fourth win in five games Sunday when they meet the struggling Raiders in an AFC West matchup.
Last season, the Chargers went just 4-12, leaving coach Marty Schottenheimer's job in jeopardy. But the Chargers already have matched their win total from 2003.
The Raiders also won just four games last season, a campaign marred by tension between players and former coach Bill Callahan. After getting off to a 2-1 start this season, the Raiders have lost their last four games.
The teams split two meetings last season, with each winning at home.

LaDainian Tomlinson
rushed for a career-high 243 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Chargers to a 21-14 victory.
Tomlinson rushed for 187 yards and a TD in the first meeting between the teams last season, a 34-31 overtime win for the Raiders. He has rushed for 589 yards and four TDs in his last three games against Oakland.
But Tomlinson enters this contest battling a sore groin. He has rushed for just 167 yards in his last three games. Tomlinson has 43 career rushing touchdowns, tying Chuck Muncie's franchise record.
Suiting up just five days after being acquired from Tampa Bay,
Keenan McCardell
had five catches for 65 yards as the Chargers posted a 17-6 victory at Carolina last week.
Kerry Collins
passed for 350 yards with two touchdowns and an interceptions in the Raiders' 31-26 loss to New Orleans last week. He has just four TD passes and nine interceptions in five games.
Oakland has lost 12 straight road games since winning at San Diego on December 8, 2002.
