BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Bills recorded a shutout for the first time in over seven years with a 26-0 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, whose road winless streak reached 17 games.

Doug Flutie improved to 13-1 as a starter at home as he benefited from a strong defense that limited the Eagles to just 22 yards rushing, the third-lowest total ever by a Bills' opponent. Buffalo posted its first shutout since a 38-0 blanking of Indianapolis on September 20, 1992.

Flutie completed 18-of-26 passes for 175 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He added 32 yards on five carries, while Antowain Smith led the ground attack with 64 yards and a score on 16 carries.

While Flutie remained nearly perfect at home, the Eagles continued their pathetic play on the road. Philadelphia is 0-16-1 away from home since beating the Jets in New York on December 14, 1996.
