PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Dorsey Levens looked good at the expense of his former team. Levens rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown as the Philadelphia Eagles posted a 20-13 exhibition victory over the Green Bay Packers. Levens spent his first seven seasons with the Packers and was a member of the club's two Super Bowl teams in the 1990s. But after an injury-riddled 2001 season and with the emergence of Ahman Green, Levens signed with the Eagles, where he will backup Duce Staley. Levens was impressive in his first appearance with the Eagles, carrying eight times, including a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. It also was a solid debut for Eagles third-round pick Brian Westbrook, who carried 11 times for 48 yards. He added two catches for 15 yards. Tim Hasselbeck, a long shot to make the Philadelphia roster, threw a 31-yard touchdown to Rod Smart early in the fourth quarter to give the Eagles a 20-10 lead. Donovan McNabb played briefly in the first quarter for the Eagles, completing all five of his passes for 15 yards. Packers quarterback Brett Favre also saw limited action, going 6-of-10 for 53 yards and an interception. Backup running back Rondell Mealey ran one yard for a TD early in the second quarter for Green Bay. |
