NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Jake Delhomme passed for three touchdowns and first-round pick Donte' Stallworth had a big night as the New Orleans Saints posted a 25-21 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the preseason finale for both teams.

Getting the start in place of Aaron Brooks, who was given the night off, Delhomme completed 16-of-21 passes for 193 yards and an interception.

One of Delhomme's touchdown passes was a 59-yard connection with Stallworth in the second quarter. The 13th overall pick out of Tennessee, Stallworth had four catches for 91 yards.

Delhomme also had a 19-yard TD toss to Onome Ojo and found Robert Wilson from 12 yards in the third quarter, when the Saints took a 22-21 lead.

New Orleans (3-1) opens the regular season on September 8 at Tampa Bay.

Cory Sauter threw for a pair of touchdowns for the Colts (2-2), who open the season September 8 at Jacksonville.

Peyton Manning played briefly in the first quarter for the Colts, throwing a seven-yard TD pass to Marvin Harrison.
