CHAMPAIGN, Illinois (Ticker) -- Jarious Jackson orchestrated a long drive that he capped with a one-yard touchdown run with 18 seconds remaining as the Denver Broncos posted a 15-10 preseason victory over the Chicago Bears .

The Broncos' third-string quarterback, Jackson engineered an 11-play, 90-yard drive before plunging over for the winning points.

Jake Plummer , signed as a free agent from Arizona in the offseason, continued to find his way in the Denver offense. He completed 8-of-13 passes for 117 yards.

First-round pick Rex Grossman led the Bears on their only touchdown drive, a seven-play, 62-yard march in the third quarter. The drive featured a 29-yard completion to Edell Shepherd and ended with a two-yard run by Adrian Peterson .

Peterson and Anthony Thomas both were unspectacular as they continue to battle for starting job Peterson carried six times for 13 yards, while Thomas rushed for 15 yards on six attempts.

New Bears quarterback Kordell Stewart struggled, completing only 3-of-8 passes for 38 yards.
