KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Trent Green and Todd Collins each passed for a touchdown, lifting the Kansas City Chiefs to a 26-16 preseason victory over the Minnesota Vikings .

After their high-powered offense failed to produce a touchdown in the first two exhibition contests, the Chiefs rolled up 429 yards and 22 first downs against the Vikings.

Green played most of the first half and went 7-of-13 for 152 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown pass to Marc Boerigter in the second quarter that gave the Chiefs a 13-7 lead.

Collins also was effective as he went 8-of-13 for 139 yards. He tossed a 12-yard TD pass to Dwayne Blakley in the fourth quarter that extended the lead to 26-10.

Chiefs star running back Priest Holmes , making his way back after offseason hip surgery, carried nine times for 41 yards.

Vikings starter Daunte Culpepper completed 8-of-13 passes for 68 yards.

Shaun Hill tossed a one-yard touchdown pass to Nate Burleson in the fourth quarter for the Vikings.
