New Orleans, Tulane Stadium

The Cowboys completely dominated Super Bowl VI at Tulane Stadium. They outgained the Dolphins 352 yards to 185 and racked up 13 more first downs. The Dolphins' vaunted "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" combo, Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick, played more like Laurel and Hardy, combining for 80 yards on 19 carries. MVP Staubach connected on 12 of 19 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns—including the final score of the game to future Bears coach Mike Ditka, a Dallas tight end. Trumpeter Al Hirt appeared in his third Super Bowl halftime show in six years.
