Super Bowl XIV

Remember when the Rams finally made it to the Super Bowl after winning their seventh straight division title? If that doesn't seem implausible enough, they beat Tampa Bay (yes, Tampa Bay) in the NFC championship game. The Rams, whose 9-7 regular season record was the worst ever for a Super Bowl team, couldn't prevent the Steelers from confirming their place as the team of the '70s. Los Angeles kept things close most of the game. But with 12 minutes to go and the Rams leading 19-17, Bradshaw hooked up with wideout John Stallworth on a 73-yard touchdown pass to give Pittsburgh the lead for good.
