Miami's Dan Marino entered this game having rewritten the NFL single-season record book, but it was Montana who dominated this matchup of the league's two premiere quarterbacks. Marino was 29-of-50 for 318 yards, but threw only one touchdown pass and two interceptions. Meanwhile, Montana was magical, completing 24-of-35 for 331 yards and three touchdowns. Roger Craig caught two touchdown passes and rushed for a third. Craig scored twice in San Francisco's decisive 21-point second quarter.
