ATLANTA (CNN/SI) -- Call him the comeback kid. We're not talking about Brett Favre; we're talking about Rich Gannon.

Gannon, who has been steady but unspectacular in leading the Oakland Raiders to a 4-3 record this season, turned in a stellar performance Sunday in the Raiders' come-from-behind 24-23 victory over the New York Jets. Gannon connected on 26 of 51 passing attempts for 352 yards and two touchdowns, including the winning 5-yard toss to James Jett with 26 seconds remaining. He was picked off once.

The 33-year-old signal-caller, who had an 87.4 quarterback rating going into the game, also rushed five times for 60 yards.

On the receiving end, Tim Brown of the Raiders was Gannon's favorite target. He caught 12 passes for 213 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown strike.

In the running game, Marshall Faulk of the 6-0 St. Louis Rams led all ball-carriers for the second consecutive week, rushing 16 times for 133 yards and a touchdown.

Best Performance in Losing Effort

Ricky Williams of the New Orleans' Saints surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career, carrying the ball 24 times for 111 yards. But his offensive teammates did virtually nothing as the Saints lost 31-3 to the New York Giants.
