ATLANTA (CNN/SI) -- The offense of the St. Louis Rams just kept on trucking right toward the playoffs with continued impressive performances from their offensive stars.
Kurt Warner sat atop the passing list after the afternoon games, after completing 24-of-35 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns and only one interception. Warner's favorite target on Sunday wasn't his usual partner-in-crime, Isaac Bruce, but rather running back Marshall Faulk out of the backfield. Faulk was the recipient of 12 passes from Warner, and he totalled 204 yards and a receiving touchdown against the Bears. Faulk added 54 yards rushing to give him 258 total yards on the day, tying him with Baltimore's Qadry Ismail for the highest single-game yardage total in the league this season. But then the 49ers' brutal defense took the field and allowed Brad Johnson to strut his stuff. Johnson broke Sammy Baugh's Redskins' single-game passing record by throwing for 471 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday night in Washington's division-clinching 26-20 overtime win over the 49ers.
The top rushing performance of the weekend was turned in by Denver's Olandis Gary. The Broncos rookie running back takes the top spot for the ground game for the second straight week. Gary followed up his 183-yard outing in the Broncos' overtime win against Seattle last Sunday, with a 185-yard game in their 17-7 win over the Lions on Saturday.
