He is unquestionably the latest San Francisco treat.

Third-year Niners quarterback Jeff Garcia is quickly becoming the Comeback Kid, and furthered his reputation Sunday in a 25-22 overtime victory against the Carolina Panthers. He finished 34-of-54 for 305 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Garcia rallied the 49ers from a 22-14 deficit when he threw a 7-yard TD pass to Terrell Owens and completed the 2-point conversion toss to Eric Johnson with 1 second left in regulation to force OT.

In overtime, Garcia led a 66-yard drive and completed consecutive passes of 8 and 15 yards to Owens to set up Jose Cortez's game-winning 26-yard field goal. Garcia is 9-of-13 for 148 yards, one TD and one INT in OT this season for a passer rating of 100.8.

It was the 49ers' fourth overtime game of the year, eclipsing the team record of three set in 1996. San Francisco is 3-1 in OT this season and 10-10-1 all-time.
