Player to Watch Matt Stover, K, Baltimore: The Ravens have been playing a lot of close games and Stover is the ideal weapon for a tight contest, as he has made 16 consecutive field goals and has kicked nine in the past three meetings against the Browns.

Player to Watch Shaun Alexander, RB, Seattle: Ricky Watters may not get his starting job back when he returns from his shoulder sprain, as Alexander is averaging 146.2 rushing yards per game in the five games since becoming a starter, which projects to 2,339 yards over an entire season.

Player to Watch Anthony Thomas, RB, Chicago: Has 580 rushing yards and a 4.6 yards-per-carry average and is on pace for 1,160 yards, which would be the most by a Bears running back since Neal Anderson's 1,275 in 1989.

Player to Watch Marshall Faulk, RB, St. Louis: Averaging a career-best 5.8 yards per carry this season and his 875 total yards in six games would project to 2,333 yards over a complete 16-game season, which would be good enough to break his own total yards record of 2,189 set last season.
