FRANKFURT, Germany (Ticker) -- The Frankfurt Galaxy took a big step towards a record fourth World Bowl berth in five years and eliminated the Amsterdam Admirals from the race to reach the championship game with a 21-7 victory. Pat Barnes, allocated by the Oakland Raiders, hit Anthony McKinney with a 72-yard touchdown to give Frankfurt a 7-0 lead. Barnes went to work again on the next Galaxy possession and picked out Shawn Scales over the head of Admirals safety Ray Jackson for a 35-yard gain that set up an 11-yard Jermaine Chaney rushing touchdown and a 14-0 halftime lead. Quarterback Jim Kubiak, allocated by the Indianapolis Colts and reassigned last week from the Barcelona Dragons to the Admirals, put points on the board when he relieved starter Pete Gonzalez. A 5-yard touchdown pass to tight end Cory Geason halved the Galaxy advantage to set up a tense final five minutes. Frankfurt responded when Chaney went in for his second score of the night from two yards out and Kleinmann nailed a twice taken extra point to make it 21-7.
