Woods defeats Singh to win Grand Slam of Golf

He may not have earned the invitation to the 1998 Grand Slam of Golf by winning a major, but on Wednesday Tiger Woods was crowned champion. Woods defeated Vijay Singh, 2-up, in the in the final's match and earned $400,000. Lee Janzen defeated Mark O'Meara in the consolation match.

    He may not have won a major to get to the Grand Slam of Golf, but Tiger Woods is a major champion. On Tuesday, he reminded Lee Janzen that he was still the man who won the 1997 Masters in record fashion. Meanwhile, Vijay Singh avenged last month's embarassing loss to Mark O'Meara at the World Match Play Championships.
