Shooting par at the U.S. Open normally gets you a shot at the crown, and Saturday was the day that adage truly came into play. Only one player broke par on Pinehurst No. 2, and when the course was finished wrecking everyone's scores only Payne Stewart had a red number still on his scorecard.
