LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A brief look at the third round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club:

LEADING: Tiger Woods at 13-under 203, after a third-round 70.

LURKING: Bob May and Scott Dunlap were 12 under, and J.P. Hayes was 11 under.

RECORDS: Jose Maria Olazabal shot a 9-under 63, becoming the 18th player to shoot a 63 in a major. The round came just after Tom Watson tied the course record with a 65.

EASY DAY: A record was set for sub-par rounds in a PGA Championship, with 53 of the 80 players breaking par. The single-round scoring average of 71.0 also is a record.

ON THE LINE: A $5 million purse, with $900,000 going to the winner.

DEFENDING: Woods can become the first repeat winner since the championship went to medal play in 1958.

HOT STARTS: Phil Mickelson shot a 31 on the front nine, then faded to a 38 on the back and was six shots back. Davis Love III birdied three holes on the front side then also shot a 38 and was six behind.

SHOT OF THE DAY: Dunlap's bunker shot on the final hole that rolled within 18 inches for his final birdie.
