From a good lie, his approach barely hit the front edge of the green and his ball plugged in the soft turf some 20 feet from the hole. His birdie putt rolled left of the hole, leaving a tap-in for par.

Tiger's tee shot hit past the pin and rolled to the back fringe about 18 feet above the hole. Using his driver, Tiger putted his ball just short and left of the cup, leaving a tap-in for par.

Tiger pierced the gusting winds with a powerful tee shot to the center of the fairway. But for the second day in a row on this hole, Tiger was long with his approach, sending his ball into the short rough above the green about 15 feet from the flag. Tiger hit an indifferent chip to 5 feet, then paid for his misdeed by lipping out his par putt for his first bogey in 24 holes.

His approach flew long and right of the pin, narrowly missing the bunker on the right side of the green.
