PGA Championship winner to receive record payday

DULUTH, Ga. (Reuters) -- A record first prize of $936,000 will be handed to the winner of this week's PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club, the PGA of America announced on Wednesday.

Last year's winner, Tiger Woods, collected $900,000 for his playoff victory over Bob May at Valhalla.
