TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A hole-by-hole look at Monday's U.S. Open playoff between Mark Brooks and Retief Goosen.

Goosen lands in front bunker with 8-iron from 187 yards, then nearly holes out from the sand before tapping in. Brooks knocks a 9-iron to back fringe of green, hits lip with birdie putt from 30 feet before making par. Goosen 4, Brooks 4. |
No. 2 467 yards par 4: |
Goosen has to scramble after hitting tee shot into rough of adjacent seventh fairway. He chips out over the trees, then hits 8-iron from 165 yards to about 7 feet and make putt. Brooks' second shot lands short and right of green; he chips up for gimme. Goosen 4, Brooks 4. |

Goosen knocks a 6-iron into the right bunker, but makes a deft save and sinks 6-foot putt. Brooks hits a 9-iron from 140 yards to 5 feet and makes birdie. Brooks 3, Goosen 4. |

Turning point of the playoff. Brooks knocks his tee shot near an oak tree, affecting his back swing. He tops his next shot, which dribbles into thick rough, and winds up with a bogey. Brooks finally makes another birdie, sinking a 15-foot putt. With only 112 yards to the hole, Goosen knocks it over the green, chips below the hole and two-putts for a bogey. He goes to the final hole with a three-stroke lead. Brooks 3, Goosen 5. |

Brooks drives right of the fairway and hits a wood out of the thick rough. He winds up in the front left bunker, ending his chances of an improbable comeback. Trying to shake of the memory of Sunday's collapse, Goosen's second shot lands short of the green and rolls back down the hill. From about 100 feet away, he uses putter to knock it on the green. He needs two more putts from 25 feet, sinking a six-footer for bogey to win the U.S. Open by two strokes. Brooks 4, Goosen 5. |
