Photo Gallery: A Golfing Family

Sports Illustrated's John Garrity, who writes a regular column for CNNSI.com -- Mats Only, an account of his ongoing search for his swing -- hails from a family of accomplished golfers. Here Garrity opens up his family album to show us how kin can be linked by a love of the links.

Golf swings are not inherited, as this family picture gallery proves. My dad played to a three handicap with a swing based on the theories of Bobby Jones and Harry Vardon. My brother Tom, a former Missouri amateur champion and PGA Tour player, was strongly influenced by the teachings of Leland "Duke" Gibson and the swing of Gene Littler. I, on the other hand, have spent roughly 40 years searching for a swing to call my own.
