HONOLULU (AP) -- It will be Tiger Woods, a couple of invitees and Vijay Singh at this year's PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the PGA of America announced Thursday.

Joining Woods and Masters champion Singh at Kauai's Poipu Bay Golf Course will be Paul Azinger and Tom Lehman, who gained alternate spots thanks to Woods winning three of the four majors.

Lehman won the Grand Slam in 1996.

Ernie Els earned the first alternate spot with his second place finishes at the Masters and U.S. and British Opens, but had to decline an invitation because of a scheduling conflict.

The PGA of America also announced the 36-hole format will revert back to stroke play. Match play was used for the last two events.

After Singh won the Masters, Woods, the Grand Slam's two-time defending champion, swept the last three -- the U.S. and British Opens and PGA Championship.

"The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is a showcase for major champions and allows spectators and television viewers the rare opportunity to see an elite foursome play together," PGA of America president Will Mann said. "Stroke play will provide the best format to watch all four players simultaneously."

The PGA of America also announced Woods will not participate in the tournament's pro-am because of a travel conflict. He is scheduled to arrive from Asia on late Monday, the day before the start of the tournament.

The tournament, with $1 million in prize money, is scheduled for Nov. 21-22.
