MUNICH, Germany (AP) -- Padraig Harrington shot a 10-under-par 62 to take a one-shot lead over John Daly after Saturday's third round of the BMW International Open.

The Irishman put together and eagle and five birdies from the third through eighth holes, then birdied three of the last four to move to 22-under 194 for the tournament.

"At the start, everything I looked at on the greens was going in," Harrington said.

Daly, who led by four shots Friday after rounds of 63-64, managed a 68 in the cold and wind Saturday. He is seeking his first victory since the 1995 British Open at St. Andrews.

"I didn't play as well as the last two days, obviously," Daly said. "I hit some poor shots and the putts didn't drop as they had in the first two rounds. But I'm happy enough with how I played."

Harrington's 62 would have matched the course record, but heavy rain that delayed the start of play by two hours meant players were allowed preferred lies.

Denmark's Thomas Bjorn was in third place at 19 under after a 69. France's Thomas Levet, 20th in the Ryder Cup standings and needing a victory to elevate himself into an automatic spot on the European team, shot a 64 to share fourth at 16 under with Scotland's Raymond Russell.

Jose Maria Olazabal, who had a 62 Friday, shot a 70 and shares sixth with Dean Robertson of Scotland and Christopher Hanell and Fredrik Jacobson, both of Sweden.

The Ryder Cup team will be completed Sunday and captain Sam Torrance will announce his two wild cards.

Sergio Garcia has been promised one spot if he does not win the event to get into the top 10. The other selection most likely will be Olazabal or Sweden's Jesper Parnevik.
