Notes: The victory is the first on the PGA Tour for Franco, one of just 28 pro golfers from Paraguay. ... In his first year on the PGA Tour, Franco has entered eight tournaments and made the cut in five. He finished tied for third in the Honda and tied for sixth in the Masters. ... Flesch has finished second two straight years in New Orleans. ... Frazar had missed four consecutive cuts before the Compaq Classic.

Notes: Irwin, who had won 16 times the previous two years, won his first tournament of the season. It was his first 21st PGA Senior Tour title. ... Atlanta Falcons kicker Morten Andersen was a volunteer marshal during the tournament, patrolling the third green. ... Irwin eagled the 18th hole on Sunday from 95 yards out. ... Dale Douglass, who shot 74-69-143 to win the $30,000 Super Seniors first prize, withdrew after nine holes Sunday with a sore wrist.

Notes: Webb made three birdies in seven holes for the victory, giving the 24-year-old Australian her fourth victory of the year. ... Webb finished at 6-under 66 and set the tournament record at the LPGA International course with a 271. Webb had a 272 when she won the Titleholders in 1996. ... Webb has finished no worse than eighth in 10 events this year. Dating to last year, she now has finished in the top 10 in her last 13 tournaments. ... The Titleholders is one of only six LPGA events on network television. CBS Sports managed to get in about an hour on Saturday before storms moved into the area, and 10 minutes on Sunday.

Scores: Second: Greg Turner (67-65-70-70). Third (275): Santiago Luna (67-72-67-69) and Jose Coceres (69-69-66-71). Fifth (276): Eamonn Darcy (66-70-72-68), Ian Woosnam (71-68-66-71) and Jorge Berendt (69-67-68-72).

Notes: Goosen, South Africa, lost a three-stroke lead with four holes to play. The win was Goosen's second in this tournament. ... Goosen parred both extra holes and won the tournament when Turner bogeyed the second playoff hole. ... Goosen returned to the tour in February after breaking his arm in a skiing accident late last year.

Notes: The victory was the second Nike title for Veazey. He won last year's Shreveport Open. ... Veazey jumped to sixth on the money list with the victory. ... Lankford's final-round 64 was the best round of the tournament.
