NEW YORK (AP) -- Lithuania squandered a 19-point lead before beating Argentina 81-77 in overtime.

In winning their second straight game, the Luithuanians got 15 points apiece from Gintaras Einikis and subs Satulius Stombergas and Danius Adomaitis. Hugo Sconochini had 23 points for Argentina, which had a chance to win in regulation but couldn't get a shot off at the buzzer.

Just as the referee was about to toss the ball for overtime, something strange happened.

The scoreboards at Madison Square Garden went blank.

A faulty control box knocked out the score and game clocks on the big boards at either end of the arena, as well as the game and shot clocks over each basket.

The arena lights and the giant scoreboard hanging over the middle of the floor remained on, and the two teams shot baskets while technicians worked. Repairs took about 10 minutes before play began.

In the other early game Russia, which lost to Lithuania on Sunday, rebounded with an 81-73 victory over Australia. Sergei Panov had 20 points for winners, while Australia's Andrew Gaze had a game-high 29. Russia never trailed.
