UNIONDALE, New York (AP) -- Irina Lashko added the Goodwill Games' 1-meter springboard title to her world championship. The Russian diver, silver medalist on the 3-meter spingboard at the 1996 Olympics, edged China's Guo Jingjing by 7.32 points. Third was another Chinese diver, Zhang Jing. Erica Sorgi was the top American, finishing fifth. China won the men's synchronized platform gold medal, with Tian Liang and Sun Shuwei getting the day's only perfect scores and easily beating Mexico's Eduardo Rueda and Fernando Platas. Americans Mark Ruiz and Justin Dumais finished fourth.
