The Rankings were compiled by the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA), led by Bob Chmiel and Randy Taylor. Chmiel brings more than 25 years of recruiting experience, including seven years as Notre Dame's director of football Operations, recruiting coordinator and assistant coach. He also served as Michigan's recruiting coordinator. Taylor was UCLA's director of football operations from 1996-2003 and was once honored as the nation's No. 1 director of football operations for his recruiting success. CJ is a solid DB overall but excels in zone coverage. He reads routes and does a nice job of picking up keys from the backfield. He has good ball skills and competes. Being recruited by: Ohio State
Darius is fast and quick. He has terrific feet and hips to allow him to play either side of the ball but he is very dangerous with the ball in his hands. He will make the transition from playing QB to playing receiver or corner and returner. Being recruited by: Oklahoma
There's a place on the football field for a guy like this. He plays hard, will hit and can run. He's a better run stopper from the back end than a true cover guy and he'll help on special teams. Jon is a hard hitting versatile player. He fronts the runner up very well and attacks from inside out on anything to the edge with speed and urgency. He can play safety but LB is his best position. Being recruited by: Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, LSU, Miami
Janzen is a blur on the way to the ball carrier and throws all of his 174 pounds into every hit. He runs very well and breaks on the ball with speed and an urgency. Being recruited by: LSU
Ro has good feet and flexible, loose hips. He is hard to get a clean shot on. If he continues to grow and hit the weight room he'll get faster and be a very good intermediate receiver or a safety prospect. Q is a powerful down blocker and will come off the ball with good pad level when he's drive blocking. He gets to the second level and is pretty agile when he gets there. Being recruited by: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina St., South Carolina, Tennessee
Fellows is a big old raw kid that can move. He can really deliver a blow. When he learns ins and outs of playing the DE spot he'll be a force. Being recruited by: Ohio State
This guy gets it... he understands football. You see where the ball is going, you run as fast as you can to the ball and then you hit the guy with the ball as hard as you can! He's not the greatest athlete but he can make plays through desire. Being recruited by: Oklahoma
Craig looks the part and has tools that will match in time. He's playing on the end but should put on good weight naturally to move inside. He could be a terrific end in the 3-4. Being recruited by: Illinois
Brown is an active, sideline to sideline player. He chases the ball relentlessly and shows surprising closing speed when he gets close. His future looks very bright. Being recruited by: Florida
The ideal edge guy. He is active, uses his hands well to get off the blocker and attacks the QB. When he adds some good weight at the next level he'll be hard to handle against the pass and the run. Being recruited by: Michigan
Brent has a great feel for the game. He is active and doesn't stay blocked. His timing and angles of pursuit are terrific and he finishes. Kevin also has good cover skills. Being recruited by: Kansas, LSU, Miami, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, USC, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU
Terry is a playmaker. He looks like he can go all the way whenever he touches the ball. He catches the ball well and can see the field to set up long runs. He will get faster in college which will make him more dangerous. Being recruited by: Illinois
Does a great job of planting his foot and breaking on the football and shows very good ball awareness. He also does a good job of coming off his receiver to force the run. He's a fluid athlete that competes Being recruited by: Oklahoma
Tate is a good size physical athlete that runs very well. He plays several positions now but looks like a special linebacker at the next level. Being recruited by: Alabama, Arizona State, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, USC, Texas
Goodman is a project that isn't too far from being complete. He has the size, feet, long arms and athleticism to be a really good defensive end. Being recruited by: Clemson
Gerald is athletic and competes. He fills the running lanes well and he anticipates and reacts quickly to the ball in the air. He does a nice job high pointing the football showing his ball skills. Being recruited by: Florida State
Bell is a stout safety that does a great job of ball hawking and then breaking on the ball. He can get in the alleys and disrupt the run game as well as press the line of scrimmage and get in the backfield. Being recruited by: Michigan
Alex is a smart player, he understands what the offense is trying to do to him and he can counter it. He also runs well and uses his hands. He's tough to handle now just wait until he's 270. Being recruited by: Texas
Zach has a great presence about him. He does a great job of looking down field and can feel pressure. He has good enough feet to move in the pocket and make every throw needed. Being recruited by: Georgia
Eric is a drive blocking machine. He sustains his blocks to the point of crushing the defender to the ground no matter how long it takes. He moves pretty well and is an effort guy. Being recruited by: Penn State
His strength is run blocking where he has a chance to knock someone off the ball. He's fairly mobile but looks like a guard at the next level. Being recruited by: Texas
TJ is a big physical safety that takes pride in his aggressive play. He does well around the line of scrimmage supporting the run or blitzing. Being recruited by: USC
The "Big Hoss" locks on and doesn't let go. His best days should be at right tackle as he will knock the defensive off the ball and add up the pancakes. Being recruited by: Texas ![]() |
