DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Avalanche forward Mike Keane did not play in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against Detroit Saturday because of a rib injury.

Keane had not missed a game in the playoffs and practiced with the team on Friday. He has a goal and four assists in the playoffs.

Brian Willsie, who had yet to play in the playoffs, took Keane's spot on the third line with Dan Hinote and Eric Messier.

Keane is one of only eight players to win the Stanley Cup with three different teams. He did it with Dallas in 1999, Colorado in 1996 and Montreal in 1993.

Colorado acquired Keane on Feb. 11 from St. Louis in a trade for Shjon Podein.
