Tomas Holmstrom
Detroit Red Wings
2 goals, 0 assists, plus-3, 2 shots, 11:36 ice time, 15 shifts

 |
| Tomas Holmstrom is so unsuspecting as an offensive threat that even the official scorer needed a second look to make sure he had scored. Both of Holmstrom's first-period goals were intially credited to Steve Duchesne before being changed during the first intermission.

Luc Robitaille
Detroit Red Wings
1 goal, 2 assists, plus-3, 3 shots, 11:46 ice time, 15 shifts
|
 |
| Luc Robitaille made it obvious in Game 7 that he really wants to hoist the Stanley Cup. Denied in the 1993 finals by Patrick Roy and the Habs, Robitaille made sure Roy wouldn't be his downfall this time around. Robitaille had just five points in Detroit's 17 previous playoff games, but busted out with a three-point first period. |

Dominik Hasek
Detroit Red Wings
19 saves, .557 career postseason winning pct.
|
 |
| The Wings' defense was tight enough that the Avs didn't get many good chances, but Dominik Hasek did keep Colorado off the scoreboard for the final 120 minutes of the series. Think Hasek likes facing prime competition? Eight of Hasek's 12 wins against Roy are shutouts. |
