Scotty Bowman
Detroit Red Wings
1,467-713-314 career record, ninth Stanley Cup
One day after Phil Jackson won his ninth NBA title, Scotty Bowman earned his ninth Cup and broke a tie with his mentor, Toe Blake, in the process. But unlike the Zen Master, Bowman won't come back to try for double-digits. The acerbic, but respected coach ends his 34-year career with virtually every record in the books.

Dominik Hasek
Detroit Red Wings
16-7, 1.86 GAA, .920 save pct. this postseason
The Wings traded for Dominik Hasek for one reason: to help them win the Stanley Cup. After allowing just seven goals in the finals, the trade certainly paid off. Hasek's most notable save in the Cup-clincher, and perhaps the playoffs, came when he robbed Bates Battaglia midway through the second.

Brendan Shanahan
Detroit Red Wings
2 goals, 0 assists, plus-1, 5 shots, 16:25 ice time, 21 shifts
Brendan Shanahan couldn't find the back of the net with a map for much of the playoffs, but he was there when the Wings needed him most. Shanny lit the lamp three times in the last two games, netting the game-winner and the insurance goal in Game 5.
