| Mental Toughness |
Like his team overall, Lalime seems to have reached a maturity level that only comes from learning the hard lessons taught by disappointment. He was great all season long again and was fabulous in the All-Star Game. With a series win in the opening round against Philadelphia last year, maybe, just maybe, it is his time to shine throughout the postseason.

| Glove Hand |
Lalime is more in the shot-blocking mold than he is reliant on any one outstanding characteristic. His catching abilities typify an apt assessment of his overall game -- solid and consistent.
| Stick |
Lalime's use of his goal stick on plays near the crease has improved greatly, particularly the use of the paddle down technique. He still struggles with side net pass protection, and his shooting and passing skills are average at best, but to his credit, he uses them judiciously.
| Pads |
Textbook use of the V-style to protect the low regions of the net. His rebound control is solid, but attackers quickly changing the shooting angle on the rush give him the most trouble.
| Style |
Lalime is comfortable playing deep in his crease, relying on his size to cover the net, while allowing him extra time to play perimeter shots. He is very good on short-range shots generated off the forecheck -- better, in fact, than on plays entering the zone, where his lateral push is still sometimes an issue.

| Intangible |
He has demonstrated the ability to get hot and carry his team throughout his career. More importantly, Lalime has worked tirelessly to improve his overall game.
