| First Line -- Jay Pandolfo-John Madden-Jamie Langenbrunner |
Madden is the team's heart and soul right now, providing offense while also brilliantly checking the opposition's top line. Head coach Pat Burns put Langenbrunner -- who is also having a tremendous playoff run -- on this line midway through the second round, uniting his top two performers on one line.

| Second Line -- Jeff Friesen-Joe Nieuwendyk-Brian Gionta |
Friesen and Nieuwendyk have both been quiet offensively throughout the first two rounds. They must have a better showing against the Senators if the Devils are to be successful. Gionta joined the line in the second round to provide some speed and energy.

| Third Line -- Patrik Elias-Scott Gomez-Grant Marshall |
This trio had a productive series against Tampa Bay. Marshall proved to be a valuable corner man and Elias finally found the back of the net. Gomez is passing well and playing with flair and panache -- the style that suits him best.
| Checking Line -- Sergei Brylin-Pascal Rheaume-Jim McKenzie |
Brylin is a very versatile performer with capable offensive skills. He can play in a variety of roles on various lines, but after missing 30 regular-season games before returning in the second round, he so far has seen most of his time spent with forecheckers Rheaume and McKenzie. Turner Stevenson is also part of the equation when it comes to depth on the forecheck.
