GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Greg Classen netted his first career hat trick to help the Milwaukee Admirals earn a 3-3 tie with the Grand Rapids Griffins. Classen broke a scoreless tie on the power play with 4:18 remaining in the first period, tallied his third goal of the season 44 seconds into the third and potted a 5-on-3 marker 2:02 later to complete the scoring. Domenic Pittis assisted on all three scores by Classen for Milwaukee, which remains unbeaten with a record of 5-0-3. Chris Madden made his first appearance of the 2002-03 campaign and registered 16 saves in the tie for the Admirals. Marc Lamothe made 10 saves in both the first and third periods and ended with 30 saves for Grand Rapids, which is unbeaten over its last four (3-0-1). Derek King collected a pair of goals and Mark Mowers added a power-play marker, giving him a team-high 14 points (five goals, nine assists), for the Griffins. |
