NORFOLK 3, ALBANY 2
ALBANY, New York (Ticker) -- Pavel Vorobiev produced two goals and an assist to lead the Norfolk Admirals to a 3-2 victory over the Albany River Rats.
Vorobiev tallied 14 seconds after teammate Ty Jones had opened the scoring in the first period and notched the deciding marker in the third - 14 seconds after Eric Johansson had tied the score for Albany.
Adam Munro made 23 saves for Norfolk, which has won by a 3-2 margin in each of its last three games.
Johansson and Aleksander Suglobov each recorded a goal and an assist for the River Rats, who fell to 0-3-1 against the Admirals.
Scott Clemmensen made 18 saves in the loss for Albany.
SPRINGFIELD 4, HARTFORD 1
HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Krystofer Kolanos recorded a hat trick and David LeNeveu made 55 saves to lead the Springfield Falcons to a 4-1 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Kolanos struck twice in the first period and tallied into an empty net with 20 seconds remaining to complete his first career AHL hat trick.
LeNeveu stopped all 24 shots he faced in the second period and turned away 21 of 22 in the third, finishing with the second-highest save total in the league this season.
Peter Ferraro and Goran Bezina each supplied a pair of assists for Springfield, which has won two games in a row on the heels of a five-game losing skid.
Benoit Dusablon ended LeNeveu's shutout bid 4:44 into the third period for Hartford, which has managed a total of two goals in losing its last four games.
Phil Osaer made 19 saves in the loss for the Wolf Pack, who had gone 3-0-1 in the previous four meetings with the Falcons.
PORTLAND 4, WORCESTER 0
PORTLAND, Maine (Ticker) -- Ratislav Stana made 31 saves as the Portland Pirates extended their unbeaten streak to seven games by blanking the Worcester IceCats, 4-0. Stana turned aside 12 shots in the first period, 11 in the second and eight in the third to post his fourth shutout of the campaign.
Mike Souza scored a goal and handed out an assist for Portland, which is 5-0-2 in its last seven games.
Curtis Sanford turned away 16 shots for Worcester, which lost for only the fifth time in 17 road games this season.
CLEVELAND 5, MANITOBA 2
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- Miroslav Zalesak recorded a hat trick and Seamus Kotyk stopped 48 shots to lead the Cleveland Barons over the Manitoba Moose, 5-2. Zalesak scored a pair of goals in the second period then added his 17th marker of season into an empty net with 18 seconds left in regulation.
Kotyk turned aside 25 shots in the first period for Cleveland, which has collected at least one point in 13 of 16 games on the road this season.
Pat Kavanagh and Martin Grenier each scored a goal for Manitoba, which has won just seven of 18 games at home this year.
Tyler Moss allowed four goals on 23 shots to take the loss.
UTAH 1, GRAND RAPIDS 0
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Jason Bacashihua registered 37 saves to help the Utah Grizzlies blank the Grand Rapids Griffins, 1-0. Bacashihua stopped all 11 shots he faced in the third period to earn just his fourth win but second shutout of the season.
Mathias Tjarnqvist scored on the power play 6:51 into the third period for Utah, which ended a four-game losing streak.
Marc Lamothe turned away 13 of 14 shots for Grand Rapids, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
BINGHAMTON 2, BRIDGEPORT 0
BINGHAMTON, New York (Ticker) -- Ray Emery made 29 saves and Denis Hamel scored a pair of goals as the Binghamton Senators downed the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 2-0. Emery turned away all 14 shots he faced over the final 20 minutes to record his 11th win and second shutout of the season.
Hamel, who leads the team with 14 goals, scored shorthanded 8:33 into the first period and sealed the win with an empty-net tally in the final minute.
Josh Langfeld and Chris Kelly each notched an assist for Binghamton, which has won back-to-back games for the first time in the month of December.
Rick DiPietro stopped 28 shots to suffer the loss for Bridgeport, which has split its last eight games after going 17-0-3 over the previous 20.
HAMILTON 3, SYRACUSE 3 (OT)
SYRACUSE, New York (Ticker) -- Tim Jackman scored late in the third period to help the Syracuse Crunch skate to a 3-3 tie with the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Jackman, who leads the team with 10 goals, forced overtime when he tallied with only 2:08 remaining in regulation.
Mark Hartigan and Brad Moran each notched a power-play goal and Jeremy Reich dished out a pair of assists for Syracuse, which is winless over its last five overtime games.
Karl Goehring stopped 29 shots in the tie for the Crunch. Jimmie Olvestad tallied in the third period for Hamilton, which skated to a 2-2 deadlock with Syracuse on Friday.
Jean-Francois Damphousse registered 29 saves, including six in overtime, for the Bulldogs.
LOWELL 4, MANCHESTER 3 (OT)
MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Ticker) -- Dan Carlson scored late in overtime to lift the Lowell Lock Monsters past the Manchester Monarchs, 4-3. Carlson tallied with only 52 seconds left in the extra period to record just his third goal of the season.
David Inman and Brad Fast each notched a goal and an assist for Lowell, which is unbeaten over its last four games (3-0-1) after dropping seven in a row.
Patrick DesRochers stopped 34 of 37 shots to pick up the win.
Steve Kelly produced a goal and an assist for Manchester, which has dropped back-to-back games for only the second time during the month of December.
Adam Hauser made 32 saves in the loss for the Monarchs.
