ROCHESTER 3, KENTUCKY 1

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Randy Cunneyworth and Dean Sylvester scored power-play goals and Martin Biron made 24 saves as the Rochester Americans extended their unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-1 victory over the Kentucky Thoroughblades. Cunneyworth scored with just five seconds left in the first period and Sylvester made it 2-0 2:34 into the second period. Biron lost his bid for a shutout when Herbert Vasiljevs scored for Kentucky 7:06 into the third period. Mike Harder, who assisted on the first two Rochester goals, added an empty-netter with 46 seconds left while the Americans were shorthanded. Rochester improved to 3-0-1 in its last four games following a season-opening loss. Sean Gauthier also made 24 saves for the Thoroughblades.
