IHL Recap (Grand Rapids-Manitoba) Posted: Wed March 24, 1999 at 1:06 a.m EST MANITOBA 5, GRAND RAPIDS 2WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- Patrice Tardif and Scott Thomas each scored two goals to lead the Manitoba Moose over the Grand Rapids Griffins, 5-2. Thomas scored Manitoba's first two goals, with both of them knotting the score. Cory Cyrenne's tally at 17:40 of the first period proved to be the game-winner. Tardif scored a goal in both the second and third periods, the latter an empty-net goal with 70 seconds left in the game. Bill Bowler, Brett Hauer and Jeff Parrott each contributed two assists for the Moose, with Bowler moving into second place in the points race with 84. Christian Bronsard turned back 31 shots to pick up his 13th win of the year, as Manitoba won for the ninth time in their last 13 games (9-3-1). Todd Hlushko and Francois Leroux scored for Grand Rapids, which dropped their third straight game and remained winless versus Manitoba (0-3). © 2000 Sportsticker Enterprises, LP
