HOUSTON 3, CHICAGO 1

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Jason Elliot stopped 34 shots and Tom Chorske had a goal and an assist as the Houston Aeros beat the Chicago Wolves, 3-1. Elliot, who improved to 5-1-0 over his last six games, lost his bid for his first shutout of the season after Chicago's Ted Drury scored 49 seconds into the third period. Chorske assisted on David Wilkie's goal at 3:31 of the second period which opened the scoring before giving Houston a 2-0 lead with his team-leading 17th goal later in the frame. Harvard University graduate Sean McCann also scored for the Aeros, who are 9-3-0 over their last 12. Richard Shulmistra turned aside 22 shots in defeat as the Wolves fell to 2-5-1 in their season series versus Houston.
