PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Shean Donovan and Randy Robitaille, forwards claimed on waivers last season by Pittsburgh, reached contract terms Thursday with the Penguins.

Also reaching contract terms was left wing Dan LaCouture.

Donovan accepted the team's qualifying offer of $684,497. Robitaille, who made $525,000 last season, avoided arbitration by also agreeing to a new contract.

The 27-year-old Donovan had two goals, one assist and 18 penalty minutes in 13 Penguins games last season after being claimed from Atlanta. The forward had 62 goals and 61 assists in 471 NHL games with San Jose, Colorado, Atlanta and Pittsburgh.

Robitaille was one of the Penguins' few pleasant surprises last season, with 10 goals and 20 assists in 40 games after being waived by the Los Angeles Kings. In a combined 58 games with the two teams, the 26-year-old forward had 14 goals and 23 assists.

LaCouture, 25, was picked up from the Edmonton Oilers in a trade for little-used defenseman Sven Butenschon in 2000 and played on the Penguins' third line last season. He was the only Penguin to play in every game last season, and had six goals and 11 assists.
