ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild re-signed goalie Manny Fernandez on Wednesday.
Terms were not disclosed.
Fernandez tied a career high with 19 wins and ranked fifth in the NHL with a career-best .923 save percentage last season when he shared duties with Dwayne Roloson. His 2.13 goals-against average ranked 10th in the NHL. The 6-foot, 185-pound Fernandez stopped 30 or more shots in 14 games and had a six-game winning streak at the start of the season.
He has played in 154 games in eight NHL seasons with Dallas and Minnesota, going 62-65-15 with a 2.52 GAA, a .911 save percentage and eight shutouts.
The system of rotating goalies helped the Wild reach the Western Conference finals last season. Roloson signed a three-year, $2 million contract with the Wild in March.
Penguins re-sign defenseman Tarnstrom
Tarnstrom, claimed off waivers last year from the New York Islanders, had seven goals and 34 assists in 61 games, even though his production fell off after he missed a month of the season with a broken foot.
The 28-year-old Tarnstrom made $475,000 last season, but will make $1.1 million this season and $1.4 million in 2004-05. He is the Penguins' highest-paid defenseman.
With the Penguins headed into next season with a smaller payroll than last season's, Tarnstrom's signing figures to be the Penguins' most expensive of the offseason. Tarnstrom was the only Penguins player to file for salary arbitration, and his hearing had been set for Saturday in Toronto.
The Penguins' eight remaining unrestricted free agents are forwards Milan Kraft, Toby Petersen, Rico Fata, Ramzi Abid and Matt Bradley and defensemen Rob Scuderi and Micki DuPont and goaltender Sebastien Caron.

Keefe had two goals and five assists in 37 games with the Lightning last season. He also had 16 goals and 15 assists in 33 games with Springfield of the AHL.
Willis, acquired last season in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes, had 16 goals and 32 points in 55 games with Springfield last season.
