Lightning re-sign Pratt

TAMPA, Fla. (Ticker) -- Defenseman Nolan Pratt signed a one-year deal to remain with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

Pratt, who was an unrestricted free agent, will return for his third season with the 2002-03 Southeast Division champions.

Terms of the deal were disclosed.

"We're very pleased to have Nolan Pratt back for another season," Tampa Bay general manager Jay Feaster said. "Nolan has been a valuable member of the team and contributed significantly to our outstanding season last year. We know he will come into camp ready to battle for a spot in our top six on defense."

Pratt has one goal and 10 assists in 113 games in two seasons with Tampa Bay. He collected one goal, seven assists and 35 penalty minutes in 67 games last season.

The 28-year-old has career totals of six goals, 31 assists and 361 penalty minutes in 316 games with the Lightning, Colorado Avalanche and the Carolina franchise.
